Hi, Hello, How are ya?
Welcome to my first post ever. This is the about me post, which I hope will keep you curious enough to return to see what I'll do next.
Here is the personal stuff:
Daughter of God, mom, grandmom, wife, daughter, sister. I work full time and live in St. Louis, Missouri, quite happily with my hubby of 21 years. We have two small dogs, since all 4 kids are now grown adults and gone from the nest. I am originally from Joliet, Il.
I received my Bachelors degree in Sociology from Emporia State University, and have a masters in Sociology from Grand Canyon State University.
I consider myself a paper crafter because I make cards but love cutting out dies and putting the pieces together, yet I hate doing puzzles, go figure.
I started working with paper doing scrapbooking pages, but truthfully, I find all that space on a 12 x 12 blank page way to intimidating.
You may be asking yourself, why a blog? Well, really it's a conversation with myself and if you happen to come along, you are more than welcome. I tend to get very excited about new techniques and fun inky things I've found or learned to do. So this is my "did you know" space to spill all my enthusiasm.
I think you can comment along if you choose to, if not sit back and giggle.
Here is the disclaimer. I am not an expert. I am a self taught, messy, crafter who has sewn for more years than I care to count. I am a bit of a dyi person who likes the chance to bring something back to life with a fresh coat of paint and new purpose. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I don't, as of yet, have affliate links. I use a varity of products but am really fond of Tim Holtz and Spellbinders. But you'll find all the brands at some point in time.
Lastly, but not least, a huge thanks to all the women (Stampin Up demonstrators and Close to my Heart Makesrs) who have taught me, encouraged me and shown me what brave and passion really look like. I aspire.
